IBIZA WITH KIDS FOR THE NEW ZEALAND HERALD

Despite Ibiza’s long-held reputation as a nonstop party destination, the island has a surprisingly gentle, family-friendly side that makes it great for kids too. I wrote about taking two children and found that beyond the clubs and nightlife, Ibiza offers quiet coves, historic towns, outdoor fun and relaxed dining that appeal to families.

Highlights include exploring Dalt Vila, the fortified old town of Ibiza Town, where kids can wander ancient streets and enjoy churros and hot chocolate, and quieter beaches and coves like Cala Xarraca, Cala Llonga, Portinatx and Cala Vadella with calm, clear water perfect for paddle-boarding, snorkelling and sandcastles.
