Nothing feels better than a new hurr do!
Is it urban myth that you get a haircut when you have a break up? I’m not so sure. Having not broken up with anyone recently, I did fancy the idea of a new do for spring! Plus it had been a long time since I had been to the salon for a chop, being a bit scissor friendly myself..
So off I trotted to the Rush salon in the Strand (not to be confused with the Rush hair salon a mere stone’s throw away in Aldwych)!
Checking in for an evening appointment I was offered wine (which I declined!!!!) but I did manage a cuppa and some Lindt chocolate (it is nearly Easter after all!)
I knew I didn’t want a major change, but I definitely needed a bit of a vavavoom. I love my bob- it’s a style that suits me, so I knew I wanted something similar, and my miraculously my uber cool stylist Narita got me!
Describing what I liked, I hid behind my hands when I told her I had been chipping away at my locks myself. But thankfully my hair grows quickly, so getting it into an actually style should be alot easier to manage.
I don’t go by trends, I try and find something that suits me, which is why I have been digging my mini fringe for years! The bonus is that it hides my forehead wrinkles too….
It’s true, that going to the hairdressers is a treat. You get to gossip, relax and have some much needed me time- even if it is only 90 minutes, but to be honest- I haven’t had that simple pleasure for a while, so I’ll be back!
Rush are offering 50% off offer for new clients. Just have to quote ‘RUSH50’ when booking online and it’s valid any time! Salons across the UK.
