Budapest might look like a pretty, historical city on the outside. But dig a bit further and you will find a very cool underground scene, including the newly established Mercedes Benz fashion week. It might only be for a weekend, but it’s early days, but talented, and experimental mens and womenswear designers showcasing in the Atrium on the Danube River, means it might make ripples in the international scene yet!
I was actually in Budapest for the CAFe (Contemporary Arts Festival) which is a two week showcase of cultural events across the city, and it was great to see another side of Budapest, and eat some of the most delicious pumpkin soup known to man! My taxi driver didn’t know where the pumpkins were sourced, but they were award winning, in my humble opinion!
It also meant that I could try out my new winter booties from Fit Flop. Super comfy, and ultra toasty with their sheepskin lining, they coped with the chilly temperatures perfectly! And were the perfect pairing after my rather ambitious outdoor swim at the Gelert pool and spa!
