I love a travel event, probably because I love to travel, so soaking up titbits of new and exciting destinations always gets me in a fluster!
This week I was delighted to visit a press event hosted by San Fransisco tourism, and along with (possibly one too many) gin cocktail, I got in the summer of love spirit, and embraced my inner hippy at the central London venue “Carousel”.
Along with the delicious cocktails, there walls were decorated with large sized murals, vintage prints from the sixties, and the best psychedelic soundtrack to help the night go with a swing. Even the tacos were authentic! All I can say is roll on 2017- I think I can help the city celebrate it’s 50th in style!
With even more art and some very fancy fashion on my radar, it was a pleasure to rub shoulders with celebs including Tamsin Eccleston and Amber LeBon at the ETRO store, at the launch of ‘My Mother Was A Reeler’ which is a limited edition capsule featuring a selection of scarves and a bespoke clutch bag, by British artist Victoria Morton. There were too many celebs to shake a stick at, and equal measures of champagne! It’s no wonder there were lots of bods on spill watch! But it’s such a gorgeous store- perfect for a party!
I enjoyed a few days by the seaside, cracking on with the first edit of issue 11 of 55Pages- can hardly believe it!!! It’s out a lot later than it usually is, as my partner in crime decided to get married, and pretty much shut down for the month of September!! But we’re back with a bang, and it’s looking hot hot hot!
I’ll have to step away from it this weekend though, as next stop is a press trip to Budapest. CAFe festival here I come….
