Paradise in Ibiza

It’s always a bit risky to head to a holiday destination at the start of season. Bars are opening in dribs and drabs, you can’t guarantee the weather and you know that the resorts will be full of Brits, who like you are taking advantage of the kids still being in school.

However, my last trip to Ibiza was my most pleasant yet. Not strictly choosing off season, it was more of a grab a week while you can (freelancer rules) but the weather forecast was pretty well behaved! It’s not just a prty island, and I enjoyed a very relaxing, chilled time with the boyf. There is traditional Spanish food to be found even in the resorts, and Cava flows by the bucket load! But it’s worth exploring some of the off the radar beaches too- and don’t forget the infamous hippy market (est 1973 and still going strong!) It was the perfect escape for reading, swimming in the crystal blue sea, and swimming pool if I couldn’t be bothered to make it to the beach, and lounging on sun beds in all day sun listening to a chill out DJ.,,

I can see an Ibiza addiction coming on, especially with the stunning Amante Beach Club in Cala Llunga, hidden gem of The Chiringuito restaurant and beach bar in Cala Nova and the subtle celeb spotting at the Jacaranda. It almost makes the queue for EasyJet bearable…
