It was all about the men at London Collections: Men
When I say busy, I mean BUSY! My last couple of weeks have been hectic!! Don’t get me wrong, I love catwalk shows, and I love menswear- I shoot alot of it, and the designers are getting better and better. but getting booked for a commercial the day it finished meant alot of juggling over the four day event!
I was also asked to do my usual show reports for Beige magazine, so I didn’t play quite as much as some of my fashion family! Early starts and late nights in front of the laptop for me.

My commercial job for Nutopia meant I had to track down a selection of fedoras and high end sports luxe… No mean feat when I had two days to prep. However I pulled it out of the bag thanks to some of my lovely PR’s and going slightly over on my shopping budget! Thank goodness for my trusty tagging gun! Ignoring my 6.30 Addison Lee pick up time, the shoot was amaze! Words cannot describe the location house in Battersea. Apart from WOW. I’m sure the owners must be in the art world with the amount of original art pieces on the wall. A three storey power house in a converted school. It’s no wonder the children could have a whole floor to themselves!!! Sometimes I think I’m in the wrong biz 😉
However, bringing my styling brain back to menswear, I did manage to squeeze in a couple of very memorable shows- with jungle and tropical prints making a welcome entrance at YMC and Richard James. Rock n Roll is still alive and kicking, and I had one of my best nights ever at an intimate gig for Pretty Green, hosted by the one and only legendary DJ Noram Jay. SS16 spells Hawaiian prints and turns ups, if you’re that kinda guy!
Christopher Shannon had a foam party, complete with boys in bikinis (as an accessory I hasten to add!!) and Elaine Constantine’s fab film Northern Soul, was the inspiration for Topman Design. Wide trousers and back splits are the way forward.
Something for every taste- fashion is fun for boys!
