Thoughts of Festivals are in the Air

And I was delighted to be invited to check out the SS collection from Muck boots at the fabulous Boundary Rooftop.. I never knew wellies could be so cool! With everything from plain black- perfect for horse riding, through to mum and kids matching co-ordinates, to ankle, mid and full length for both men and women. I went the whole hog and picked a pair of pink check knee highs. Well I need to let people know I’m coming! Roll on The Secret Garden Party.

Nana Fink Jewellery is One To Watch

A relative newbie in the jewellery arena, I was lucky enough to join Nana Fink, who had flown over from her home in Basel, for an intimate lunch at Home House last week. Hailing from Switzerland, mostly known for watches, this talented mum is not officially trained in jewellery, but comes from an artisan background, and had a calling. Her lion collection is breathtaking and is definitely something that will hit the radar of fine jewellery fans. My personal fave was the lion-head ring with green diamonds (if anyone is interested!) – which she also thinks would be perfect on Cara Delevigne… What good taste I have!

If you are a fan of unusual, handmade jewellery, Nana Fink is the name to check. You can also check her out at the Paul Smith flagship store in Mayfair. You won’t be disappointed.

Pleasure and Pain: The Shoe Show you can’t miss

The V&A have done it again. This time, their fashion curators have worked with Clarks and shoe design college Cordwainers to create a history of shoes from around the globe.

It’s the perfect exhibition for anybody who has bought a pair of shoes just because they like them! Showcasing more than 200 pairs, from the luxurious to the impractical. Using designers including Louboutin, Jimmy Choo and Prada, the shoes are beautiful, sometimes impractical, but often with the best memories. I am delighted to see that Sargossa shoes made the cut; A new designer who makes high heels comfortable is a new name on the scene, and definitely on my radar 🙂

And if you want to set your TV to record for September I was interviewed by a Danish TV show on shoes… Watch this space!

I’m spoilt for choice with my watches!

Big thanks to Timex for my beautiful silver analogue watch which arrived this week. No excuses for me now!
