With LC:M in it’s eigth season, menswear is going from strength to strength. The British Fashion Council are embracing the business of fashion, and the four day event is drawing a huge international crowd, which I was delighted to be part of.
Showcasing everything from novice designers via the MAN platform, and the established Savile Row brigade, London is the place to be for diversity. Whether it’s slick Chester Barrie suiting- as spied on David Gandy, or Richard James who showed true luxury in a Bentley showroom; The stunning Rosewood Hotel was the home to Duchamp’s gorgeous models, and ever creative Belstaff made their own snow in the vaults of Waterloo!
Names to watch and wear for AW16 include JW Anderson, who has merged menswear and womenswear seamlessly; Burberry who are now just as popular on the men’s radar as the womens, Moschino for a not too serious take on winter warmers, along with Lou Dalton, Sibling and Rachel James who all offer a world of knits to shake off any cold shoulders come our predicted cold snap!
Alas all these gorgeous garms won’t be available until September, but it’s great to look forward, and as usual in the wibbly wobbly world of fashion, nothing ever stays still!
