Two back to back trips meant I spent twelve days in sunny Spain
And now I am back in grey UK and wondering what to do with myself! I would really love to get two more countries in this year, so I can keep up my (so far so good) new years plan of visiting a different country every month- nothing in the pipeline at the moment, but watch this space! As I do a press trip pixie travel dance….
My first stop was the stunning Fountainhead Retreat in the Andalusian mountains. Perfectly peaceful, completely tranquil, and the most amazing personal touches for a chilled out stay. Review coming soon for Flush magazine.
Conveniently, my next stop was a fitness bootcamp – also in Spain, but a couple of hours away along the coast, in a converted monastery. Feeling refreshed, and zenned out, I wasn’t quite sure what I was letting myself in for. No caffeine, alcohol, dairy, sugar or wheat?? No problem right- especially if someone else is cooking for me. But coupled with the 7am- 6pm classes it was pretty hardcore, and I must admit I didn’t manage all the sessions. But team games with my other bootcampers were fun- we even did a triathlon! It’s a good test for fitness, but I left wanting more. Just got to keep up with the gym here now.

Hitting the mean streets of Malaga before I went home meant I could celebrate with a long overdue cava, and get some culture at the Picasso museum. So all in all not a bad way to spend two weeks.
Back to reality with a bang now though…..
