I could dress entirely from the White Tent label, which has just been introduced to me, and looks like it is going to be a firm favourite. Founded in 2007 by Evgenia Tabakova and Pedro Noronha-Feio who crossed the “fashion barriers” and graduated from Central Saint Martin’s and the London College of Fashion respectively. And their Russian and Portuguese descents, fuses the wearable luxury that is so often neglected.

Also important to the pair is the social responsibility behind the construction of the clothes; They are constantly searching for innovative materials and use organic and recycled yarns; Their philosophy is keep the business as sustainable as possible, and they have been able to work with their manufacturer closely in Portugal to create employment and training opportunities.

Comfort is a key factor in the design of their collections, and SS12 features fluidity, oversized jersey and understated details and a flash of metallic, to keep it interesting. Altogether this results in a nonchalant, slouchy look, which is right up my street. The separates can slip in easily to any wardrobe, and the new collection will be available on Asos from the end of March.

The collection entitled True Colours, it is inspired by the story of Coccinelle (meaning ladybird) a dramatic woman who lived a life of luxury in Monaco in the 1940’s, but after a tragic plane crash, woke up as the only survivor in the jungle, surrounded by hundreds of insects..

Each piece is elaborately crafted and hand beaded with contrasting colours and organic shapes, edgy and full of drama; Corsets nestle next to antennae headpieces, which are styled along side webbed face masks, and each piece is more intricate than the last.

Having only been in London a few years, Sorapol has already found a niche in the underground scene by collaborating with London visionary Daniel Lismore, who has supported him with creative direction and millinery.

Other notable collaborations included the footwear by Bryan Oknyansky, show stopping jewellery by Skir Lin and eyewear by Linda Farrow, which all complemented the luxury and couture.

Sorapol’s first collection is full of fun, flamboyance and elegance, and no doubt will continue to push the boundaries next season. I look forward with anticipation.

The style of the magazine allows it be easy to navigate and certainly one that will be a go to reference point. The content of the first issue features new designers Matthew Miller, James Long and Lou Dalton, who might be known from London Fashion Week, as well as emerging talent in fashion, music and sport.

Interviews with designers nestle neatly next to features on cult movies, up and coming photographer Kate Cox, Ezra Miller, Yoko Ono and Amy Winehouse.
